By booking accommodation with Serene Collections, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

Booking and Confirmation

• All bookings are subject to availability.

• A booking is considered confirmed only once a valid payment has been received.

• Guests must provide accurate personal details, including full name, email address, and contact number.

• Credit card details provided at booking are held securely and may be used to cover any damages or breakages during your stay.

Payment

• Full payment is required to secure your booking.

• Credit card details may be charged for any damages or breakages incurred during the stay.

• Payment confirmation and invoices will be sent via email.

• We reserve the right not to refund any transactional or processing fees in the event of a cancellation or refund.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are subject to the following conditions:

• More than 30 days prior to arrival: Full refund less an administration fee of R300.

• Between 30 – 14 days prior to arrival: 50% of the booking amount is refundable.

• Less than 14 days prior to arrival: No refund available.

• No-shows: No refund available.

All cancellations must be made in writing via email or through the website booking system.

 

Check-in and Check-out

• Standard check-in time: from 10am - 7pm

• Standard check-out time: 11am

• Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and is subject to availability.

 

Guest Responsibilities

• Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their belongings.

• Guests must treat the property and its contents with care. Any damages or breakages will be charged to the credit card provided.

• Smoking, loud music, parties, illegal activities, and disruptive behaviour are strictly prohibited on the premises.

Liability

• Serene Collections accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay at any of our properties. The guests and those who accompany him/her, are jointly and severally responsible for all loss and/or damage which arises, for Serene Collections, and/or any third party as a direct or an indirect consequence of their stay, irrespective of whether this was caused through actions or refraining from actions by themselves or by third parties, who are at the premises through their making, as well as of all damage which is caused by any animal and/or matter which they have under their responsibility.

• Guests acknowledge that they enter the property at their own risk.

• We regret we are not wheel chair friendly at any of our accommodations.

• We regret no children or animals accommodated at McGregor Hideaways.

• Children are welcome at Simons Town Retreat.   Small dogs are also welcome at Simons Town Retreat by prior arrangement and there is a non refundable surcharge of R350 payable on booking.

 

Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy]. This includes keeping your name, email, and payment information secure and using it only for purposes related to your booking and optional updates.

 

Force Majeure

Serene Collections is not liable for any failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.

 

Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.
